About

Inclusive Collage (1)

HeARTs Speak and Maddie's Fund believe that accurate and inclusive images of people & pets in our communities can help animal services organizations create stronger community connections and more impactful marketing.

The goal of this photo library is to increase inclusivity and provide a welcoming environment for all community members. #ThankstoMaddie

In the first two years of this project, over 1300 pictures were taken all over the country to capture the bond between pets and their people. The library will continue to grow in the coming years, adding more elements of the rich diversity of our communities and regions.

If you have any questions, are looking for a specific image, or would like to get involved, please email us at team@heartsspeak.org.

Who is this site for?

This photo library was created for and is limited to use by those working with (staff, volunteers, or fosters) nonprofit and government animal wellbeing organizations (shelters, rescues, advocacy groups, etc.). Individuals, for-profit businesses of any kind (even in the animal welfare space) are strictly prohibited from using these images for free.

Interested parties who do not qualify for free photos can find many of the same images for purchase via Images with HeART and other stock photo libraries. Read more about the terms and conditions of use here.

If you're a national animal welfare organization or a large organization with an allocated marketing budget for stock photos, please consider purchasing your photos from Images with HeART. Your purchase will help fuel the growth of our free stock photography library and other lifesaving programs, while simultaneously giving back to the photographer from our Artists Helping Animals program who helps make it all possible.
